王诗安出生于荷兰霍林赫姆，父母均为上海人，王诗安儿时的梦想之一就是成为一名在亚洲唱歌的歌手，六岁时她开始学习钢琴、芭蕾、爵士乐等艺术门类；2002年，十二岁的王诗安获得了荷兰达芬奇学院天才秀的冠军；之后，她又进入伯克利音乐学院R&B声乐系学习专业的音乐课程。2010年，王诗安参加蒙牛酸酸乳音乐梦想学院并获得亚军。2011年，王诗安因参加第七届《超级星光大道》PK踢馆赛挑战成功而签约华纳唱片成为华纳艺人。2013年，王诗安推出了首张个人专辑《你好吗 Love Lesson》。2014年，王诗安出演了终极系列第六部《终极X宿舍》
